Before founding Travel Risk Group, he led Protective Intelligence and Global Travel Risk for a Fortune 30 financial services firm, where he managed executive threat assessments and the operational security of over 10,000 business travelers each month.

With a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Chicago, Leif spent years studying the dynamics of global security and political risk. His time studying Arabic in Amman, Jordan and Italian in Milan, Italy deepened his understanding of culture and geopolitics, while shaping his appreciation for travel.
